The 5th Annual Halloween Family Fun Festival The 5th year, the Loveland Museum/Gallery is celebrating the annual Halloween Family Fun Festival, while downtown businesses celebrate the annual Downtown Trick-or-Treating.  Join us in Peters Park next to the Museum/Gallery on Saturday, October 28 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM for this fun-filled community event, with downtown trick-or-treating running simultaneously. Dress up the family and head into town for some Halloween fun! 

The 5th Annual Halloween Family Fun Festival will feature live entertainment, crafts and activities for kids, food (for a small fee) and a costume contest for all ages with categories ranging from infants to adults. THIS EVENT WILL RUN RAIN OR SHINE. IF NEEDED, THE EVENT WILL BE MOVED INTO THE MUSEUM! Downtown Trick-or-Treating will also be open to youngsters at selected downtown businesses, identified by signs in their windows.


Craft and activity booths for kids of all ages will be provided by several local youth-serving organizations and local businesses. Activity booths will be provided by Thompson School District, YMCA of the Rockies, Century 21 Humpal, Safe Kids Card, Something From the Farm, Target, Chilson Center and the Loveland Public Library. Little Angels Pony and Pals will be offering $1for pony rides.

Live entertainment will be provided by local favorite Mr. Shine from 10:00 am – 12:15 pm.

Dress in your best Halloween Costume and enter the contest to win great prizes. Judges will vote depending on audience reaction and their own opinion. Enter your costume by registering at the Costume Contest Booth on the day of the event. You MUST register your costume before 12:15 PM on Oct. 28! 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded in the following Costume Contest Categories: Best baby costume (under age 1); Best costume ages 1-3; Best costume ages 4-6; Best costume ages 7-9; Best costume ages 10-12; Best teen costume (ages 13-18); Best adult costume (ages 19 and up); Best family “Theme” costume (family).  Costume contest sponsors include: Country Junction, The Black Steer, King Soopers, Carl’s Canteen, McGraff’s, Papa Murphy’s, Sweetheart Lanes, Monaco Trattoria, Sonic Drive In, Daz Bog, Red Robin, Pizza Street, Wal Mart, The Egg and I, Canton Palace, Qdoba, Pizza Hut, Mimi’s Café, The Coffee Tree, BBQ Bob’s Anthology Books, Game Castle and The Black Eyed Pea.

 
 


Additional event sponsors include Johnny Carino’s, Target, Poudre Valley Healthy Kids Club and Auto Trader Magazine.

 

Please note: 5th Street will be CLOSED between the Reporter-Herald/Museum alley and Lincoln on Saturday, October 28 from 7 AM - 4 PM for the event. The public parking lot on the southwest corner of Lincoln and 5th will also be closed for the event.
